When I went away recently on a business trip to Germany, I had a couple of days free to myself to wander around the town I was staying in to check out what kind of things I could pick up from the local shops. It’s always nice to have the time to be able to do this, because quite often you can find things that you could never find when you’re back at home. Of course, I don’t necessarily mean things that would be classed as ‘haut couture’. I mean more local and traditional things. I actually managed to pick up a few traditional German decorations for Christmas and New Year, which differ from the decorations that I can get back home. I also managed to pick up a really nice cardigan-type piece. Not only is the pattern really beautiful and well-made, it also does wonders to stave off the cold in these winter months. But I’m sure I will also be able to wear it when the weather gets a bit nicer too.
